You Want Traffic To Your Website? Stop All Of The B.S.

By Evelyn Myers

Skyrocketing website, traffic is easy

They are going to come if you develop it

Blah, blah, blah

If we were to produce even more traffic to our site, we'd boost our sales, I'm convinced it's safe to state that we all jumped into that crap. On the surface, it looks sensible. Judging that idea a tiny bit better under a minute lens, it does not hold up.

I can not begin to tell you precisely how many times I have actually talked with company owners who had actually managed to drive enormous quantities of visitors to their web sites. The issue was the traffic wasn't changing into sales. The elephant in the room at this juncture is, why isn't the traffic changing.

The best starting place is by assesing the quality of traffic that is currently visiting your site. My mother instructed me to never assume. Well mom, please excuse me, I'm going to take the leap into the dark and do so anyway. I'm going to presume that you have Google Analytics on your internet site which you can track where your traffic is originating.

If for some wierd reason you are not currently tracking the traffic coming to your internet site, shame on you. The more you understand about your traffic and what your site visitors are doing the better off you are going to be.

If you're currently tracking your traffic, start off by seeing where your traffic is coming from. If you find that the bulk of traffic is coming from a PAY-PER-CLICK project you are running for instance, you have 2 alternatives:

1. Check your PAY-PER-CLICK projects quality scores. If you have a low score, modify your landing page.
2. You can double check your keywords and change them also.

At the end of the day it boils down to tracking your traffic, and making sure it is targeted. Split test different landing pages, headlines, products, etc. It all boils down to testing, testing and more testing.

So get out there and start testing right now.
