Styles For Black And Short Natural Hair

By Darren Hartley

Rosy or nerve-wracking from the other side is how black natural hair styles can look. When it comes to diminishing the time off morning grooming sessions, low maintenance hairdos are more of a dream rather than a reality. Cleansing, detangling and styling the hair, take at least as long as relaxing it, once the hair grows a number of inches.

A woman will not necessary save on cost if she decides to maintain black natural hair styles. While it's true she will be saving on salon costs, she will however be incurring additional product costs. To top it all, since different products offer different results on different hair textures, finding the right products and routines for a particular hair texture involves a lot of trial and error.

Some black natural hair styles may not be welcomed with open arms in work environments that gear toward conservative policies. Hair grown from the head as-is may face discrimination in some workplaces. Jobs that have dress codes might frown on natural hair styles like braids and locks, considering them as extreme hairdos.

Short natural hair styles that can work for super short tresses include comb coils or comb twists. Your hair need only to be an inch long for this hair style. A woman has the option of using her fingers or a rat tail comb to create this hair style. An additional product requirement would be pomade or gel.

Bantu knots are other short natural hair styles a woman can create for her hair. She can have simple, basic parts travelling from the front of the hair to the back. She can go a little adventurous by designing hair patterns in the shape of diamonds. Either way, she can gently twist small hair sections into knots with the aid of gel or pomade.

Twists are other short natural hair styles that do not require the hair to be very long. They work on hair as short as two inches long. For a more controlled look to the twists, they must be directed to where they are wanted to fall, that is, toward one side or toward the back.
