By George Dodson

We all have to sleep. Everyone has to sleep though others do it longer or shorter than others. While sleeping, you need to do it on something, usually a mattress.

There are various extents and styles of mattresses. You can get them in standard, foam, air, and water to name a few. . On the texture, they are available in either soft, hard, in between. No matter what you choose, you are going to have to go somewhere and buy a mattress. How do you do that and not get scammed?

You might cough up several thousand dollars for high end mattresses. Due to this, you must be aware on what you are up to.

Second, you can pay as much as$1,300 for a mattress in store a, that sells the same for half that price in store B. Why is that?

Nearly all industries feature a comparison price on their merchandise.. If you are in the need of a TV set, there are several outlets that you can compare prices on. The same applies to gas prices. Looking around will fetch you the best deal.

The mattress industry is different. It has a non-price comparison strategy to confuse you.

Shopping for a mattress is just like your normal shopping routine. You have a list and you look at the discounters first to get an idea of the price. In your list, there are 5 mattresses that you require. You take this list to the first store and you find that they don't have any of those mattresses but they do have X and "let me show you the advantages of this mattress. Now, you are confused. Why don't they have the models you've listed?

A majority of the models you are familiar with are just the same thing. They just have some minor differences and widely different price ranges.

How is this overcome?

Be aware that stores mark up regular mattresses with mattress coupons which will make the price seem less. Don't fall for it. .

Stores may draw your interest to something and switch over to something seemingly better.

How do you go about this?

Do not budge from your budget even though you might be forced to go to another store.

Know what kind of mattress you want and stick to it. In the last case, leave it they don't sell you what you want.

Get your product assurance in written form.

Your mattress shopping experience will be a breeze if you follow these instructions.
