Air conditioning utilizes a scientific procedure that makes uncomfortable air more favorable for the people inside a closed room. It turns humid air to a cooler and breezier one. Without it, these enclosures can get too warm and may hinder effective thought processes and physical actions.

There are several contributory factors that lead to the invention of the said appliance. All of these factors share one underlying root, and that is the provision of comfort. Basically, AC units are made to make one comfortable even when the environmental temperature is unfavorable.

These units frequently make their appearances in locations like plenary halls, movie houses, universities, laboratories, commercial establishments, offices, even residences. These places are fitted with specific appliance types that specifically cater to their specific needs. Since not all units are created equal, there are different units that belong to each unique location to bring about the best results.

Another AC type is called the split type. It is called so because it has two split sections. One is found outside the building. The other is found inside the room that needs to be cooled. This internal section needs to be permanently attached to a part of the house. More often than not, it is often placed on the wall, at the topmost corner.

The tower AC is a split type unit, but it is an altogether different one from the aforementioned one. The former split type has to be permanently mounted, but the internal tower does not need to be. You just have to designate a special place for it. It is also more powerful than that of the actual split, so it is perfect for larger rooms.

There is also another variation of the split type, called the tower type. It is also split into two distinct compartments. Whereas the internal split has a permanent place, the internal tower does not need to be glued to the wall. It just needs to have that certain space in the corner of a room where it needs to be placed. The size of the tower reflects its cooling power. Since towers are usually big, they have greater cooling capacities which make them most appropriate for large meeting rooms and halls.

Cassette ACs lean to modernization more than all the other types that came before it. It is also the most fashionable. It is mounted cleverly on ceilings for that perfect camouflage. Aside from its advantages in appearance, it is also the best performing among all types.
