Simple Tips For Creative Pottery Painting

By Mark Bell

Decorating your pot is fun and exciting. You do not only plant, but also you enjoyed customizing it according to your desired decorations. It does not require a specific professional skill to be creative. Ordinary creativity is enough. Here are some interesting things about pottery painting IL.

My family friend, Hannah, is a retired woman. Her hobby is rearranging and decorating the furniture in her house to make it look fresher. She is particular about the blending of the colors in her living area because she easily notices color imbalance and dullness. Since her family is not around, she manages to do things that might make her more productive.

One day, she decided to grow a garden in her backyard so that she would have something to do every morning. She brought my cousin with her to buy some plain pots and as expected, she wants to decorate them. However, she has no idea about the right designs. She could order her kids to paint random stuff on them but it would just mess up her work.

So, my cousin advised her to look for inspiration before coming up with a few drafts. She could seek inspiration from the people around her, the environment and the beautiful places she had been to. These will serve as her basic guideline in becoming more creative.

My cousin told her, that to avoid monotony, it is not advisable to paint the pot green or any shades of green unless she would want her pot to appear like a part of a plant. A green pot takes away the variety of the painting and is boring to look at since it only blends with the leaves. You may use green if you planted red and pink flowers on it.

A unique suggestion is painting your pot with the shades of day sky. You do not have to draw concrete objects. A sky is an easy image to start learning abstract painting. You can add yellow and orange to represent the sunset. Abstract painting would also look good.

One suggestion is to paint the day sky with the matching color of sunset. It does not have to be concretely drawn, but abstract painting would do. Painting the night sky is takes you to another level. You can use color sprays to emphasize the abstract style and blend it properly with the dark colors.

Use paint brush to draw the silver moon and stars. You can also use plain white to add a contrasting effect on the dark background. Be reminded to use acrylic paint to prevent the colors from easily being washed off when it rains. Also prepare different brush sizes since you will have to draw a variety of shapes.

Your inspiration is available anywhere like the natural environment, the awesome places you have been to, and the famous traditional pieces of art. This unique activity will heal your boredom. Aside from discovering your new career, it teaches you how to be naturally artistic. Beautifying your backyard will surely amaze your visitors and neighbors. Thus, act now and make it real.
