By Haywood Hunter

There is a lot of choice when it comes to indoor tanning lotions. It's not surprising that people get confused when choosing indoor tanning lotions. Sunscreen can be used when a person goes out into the sun to sunbathe. Indoor tanning lotions are a good choice for people that want to enhance their tan.

Tan oil is usually used when someone uses a sun-bed. Tan oil can help the tan progress and limit the amount of time needed on a sun-bed. Indoor tanning lotions can also speed the tan process. Indoor tanning lotions can help to increase the amount of melanin. Melanin is needed for tanning to develop.

All name brand indoor tanning lotions including self tanners, bronzer and creams are safe to use. They do not involve being exposed to ultra violet rays. However, a person should always do a skin test to check if the indoor tanning lotions is right for their skin.

Enhancing lotion will not give someone a tan, it will only enhance a tan that is already there. It will make someone look browner than they actually are. Moisturizing the skin, will keep it in top condition. It is important to exfoliate the skin in preparation for using indoor tanning lotions. Getting rid of the dry skin will make the skin much smoother and help the tan to take better.

One of the main reasons why someone would use indoor tanning lotions is to help moisturize the skin. The problem with getting a tan, is that it dries the skin out. Therefore, the skin must be properly cared for. Ultraviolet rays dehydrate the skin so extra moisture is required to ensure that the skin looks smooth and healthy. Indoor tanning lotions can help people's skin condition.

Sunblock will help block the harmful rays from the sun or sunbed. People use sunblock before going on a sun-bed or in the sun. It can make the process of getting a tan safer. Too much exposure to ultraviolet rays can result in skin cancer, so care must be taken at all times. A person should never fall asleep in the sun or on a sun-bed. Third degree burns must be treated as an emergency, at hospital.
