Browning Gun Safes, The Leader in Safe Innovations

By Matt Arnold

Browning has been creating high quality safes for 30 years. They have three series of safes: the Pro Series, Sporter Series, and Tactical Mark III Series. With a host of models, features and colors to choose from, owners can customize a safe for their specific needs.

The New Pro Series with patent pending MAX bolts is an exceptionally secure safe. These bolts offer 12 times more surface area contact with the frame, giving them 4 times as much strength as traditional round bolts. Pinnacle and Prestige models also feature a locking mechanism that takes one-third the effort to turn than a standard safe. Pro Series safes are rich with the best Browning features.

Sporter Series safes are intended for entry-level buyers. Reinforced door frames, 12 gauge steel construction, and 1 inch locking bolts with a patented Force Deflector Locking Mechanism makes this safe incredibly secure. Owners can opt to have an electronic lock if they prefer. Furthermore, the Browning patented DPX Storage system maximize the convenience and amount of available storage.

The Tactical Mark III (or MP) safes are available in a 23 or 33 cubic foot size with fire protection up to 1200 degrees for 45 minutes. This series is also made of 12 gauge steel. Standard length shotguns and rifles can be stowed using the DPX Storage system. Lower loops provide a convenient way to also store modern sporting arms, carbines, and tactical shotguns.

Browning is a leader in innovation. Its first innovation's were in providing optimal security. Specifically, doors were made difficult to bend or pry by increasing the door's rigidity. The bolts were made immovable when hammered by introducing a vault type cam lock. Force to the bolts goes to a cam rather than the locking mechanism. Lastly, fire protection increased by layering insulation and eliminating gaps.

More recently, Browning achieved significant enhancements in storage capacity via the Duo-Plus Extra (DPX) storage system. This unique storage innovation allows long guns and handguns to be stored on the back of the safe door. Additional pouches and pockets create additional storage space for small valuables and handguns.

Browning also offers an exclusive feature to protect optics mounted on long guns. The DPX Scope Saver protects optics by allowing you to store guns inside the space of the door. This both opens up more space inside the safe and ensures that time spent sighting-in a scope isn't wasted.

Lastly, Browning offers one of the most versatile system of shelving, AXIS Adjustable Shelving. Traditional shelves are typically either in a fixed position or can only be moved vertically. AXIS shelves can be moved horizontally or vertically which maximizes the flexibility of the interior. AXIS adjustable shelves are available in all premium ProSteel safes. Some models can be converted to an all-shelf interior with the purchase of additional shelving.

Most safe manufacturers cannot compete with Browning gun safes for convenience, quality, and security. 30 years of innovation has yielded a full line of reliable safe products to meet nearly any gun owner's needs.
