Here Are Some Reasons Why Homeowners Fail In Applying For Loan Modification And to Be Sure to avoid Mistakes

By Chelsea Newman

Not submitting the right financial details in applying for loan modification.

Have you ever attempted to sign up an application for a loan, credit card, a job...? You filled out the application form the best you could, however there have been a few lines you did not know what to put on them. The lady at the counter will take the application, makes sure you signed the bottom and run it through the computer. What happens?

You are REJECTED for some reason or another and the one in front of you just got APPROVED.

In case you are just like me, then you'd probably get upset or confused why you were rejected.

Well you know what?

It's only natural if this happens?

Instead of writing $50.00 you write $100 hoping it will help you qualify, but now you're rejected and confused.

A month passes by before you can reapply making you to become more and more behind on your mortgage.

Then... if you submit a letter of hardship for the loan adjustment because your lender required, you send a clear message through the letter:

"I wish I knew exactly what amounts it will require to be considered, however I don't so maybe you will feel bad enough to allow me and my loved ones to be able to keep our home".

Your good motives normally come across to loan providers as somebody who wants to take advantage of the lower rates you have been told your friends and neighbors have been getting. They hear your hardship and see it as weak attempt for manipulation. Yes it's true I said that lenders find it as MANIPULATION.

Not Getting Your Lender's "Direct Contact" Information

An additional huge and regrettable mistake most homeowners make is not obtaining your lender's direct contact information on hand.

Lenders that are easy to reach are hard to find.

And these people receive a LOT of calls from homeowners.

A lot of homeowners don't know this however you can always request to get a direct name, employee number, and telephone number to contact.

Then you will know who you should expect every time you call.

And remember one thing... loan providers don't like speaking with people who do not have EXPERIENCE dealing with banks. They would like to make their jobs pretty simple. You have to set yourself apart from the homeowners that won't QUALIFY.

If you request for more valuable information then...

You will signal to the lender that you're not like the other homeowners. Not really the kind who question things they must know already the answers to... and waste their time.

There is a lot better way...

Thinking It Will Take Money To Be Able To Qualify

One of the more common errors that homeowners do is giving up before they've even got started... because they think that loan providers are only interested in assisting homeowners that have great credit and income... or houses with equity... or living in the house.

And sure, there are several programs, which require these things.

But, MOST homeowners are a lot more interested in a program that they could qualify for rather than a program that will reject them.

There are numbers and guidelines, which attract loan modification approvals like a magnet...

And once you know what they are and the way to use them, YOU could be among the list of fortunate homeowners that QUALIFY for a home loan modification.

YOU DO NOT need to "settle" for a bad loan just because you aren't wealthy, have poor credit, or owe a lot more than your property's worth.

And NO, you don't always have to be behind on payments to qualify.

Please let me say this again in applying for loan modification: Once you know how to converse your circumstances correctly, you can make the lender feel the same kind of determination that YOU feel in order to get you in a loan that will meet your needs.
