Replacing A Broken Fridge Ice Makers

By Paul Perry

Any appliance that malfunctions sure would bring terrible frustrations for the owners especially for those fridge that ice makers are not making ice anymore. Sometimes it gets out of hand and there is nothing left to do but opt for services like ice maker repair Atlanta. Sure this would be the easiest way to handle malfunctions but for those who are hoping to save a little more penny there is nothing to be scared of, just bring plenty supply of patience, prepare the needed tools and follow all the instructions, who knows fixing it may just be a hidden forte that need to get unraveled.

When planning to do all the step by own, then making sure that the safety would always be the top priority over anything else. Make sure that the machine is off and all powers are down. This is to ensure that there are no harm and accidents that may happen that involves anything of electricity because that would be very bad. After that, bring in the patience because the action is about to get started.

Start with the ice fridge door and notice that there is or there are hinge pins on it. Have them removed, there are instance where a bracket got only one pin but often times an individual would see two of them. After the pins are successfully taken off the court, place them somewhere safe and be sure to remember where it is.

Continue making way to the exact thing that is causing the problem by removing all screws attached at the right side of tray. When the shelf is taken out, notice that screws are also on its back so unscrew these too. When that step is done right, there should be a wire harness that would come out.

If the screws are removed properly, sure there will be a harness that would come out of that machine. Once that wire thing is spotted, keep the infrared door shut while pulling the tab on its side, this is to disconnect the wires on that harness. Once done, remove the ice maker machine out and prepare the brand new one.

In removing it, do a flipping in an up and down motion to allow its removal to get easier. Unscrew those three hex screws using an appropriate screwdriver and push in the tabs attached to completely make the harness fall out. The dysfunctional ice maker can then be disposed because it no longer would be of any use in the future. Do not lose all the screws that are removed, though.

Now, prepare the new model and position it like on those harness like it was on the old ones. Keep it tight and place it in a secure and careful manner. Once set, the screws can then be locked on its proper places and go back to the fridge. The assembling would be taken from there.

Line the newly assembled ice maker and push it towards the back portion until there is a snap or click. That sound is an indication that it has been successfully locked and nothing to worry about it. Continue the task by reinstalling all needed wiring and screws, put the hinge pin back as well.

Now, congratulations the replacement has been successfully installed. Get ready to try whether the hard work paid off this time. If yes, then that is a good news and go have a cold drink as reward of all patience and hard work. However, if the problem still does occur then it would be great to ask professional help fro the expert repairmen.
