Extra Long Shower And Hookless Shower Curtains

By Darren Hartley

Perfect for bathrooms with high vertical clearing are extra long shower curtains. While enjoying his bath, a homeowner need not worry whether the rod is too high that the curtains may not be enough to cover him. These curtains keep the water from scattering all over the bathroom as they do not leave even an inch of space between them and the floor.

Ideal is the word to describe perfect extra long shower curtains in relation to homeowners with bath tubs and Jacuzzis at home. The assurance of having plenty of fabric covering the area from the top down to the tiles is enough for a homeowner not to mind having his hands caught on the curtain towards the bath tub.

Extra long shower curtains also serve as a lock for younger children to avoid their getting out of the bath tub by themselves. Blocking their path during play is a matter of the simple tucking of the shower curtain on the side.

Available on the market today are several different varieties of hookless shower curtains. While each works with standard shower curtain rods, they all attach to the rods in different ways. Their elimination of the need for hooks is the more important aspect of these curtains.

Equipped with a built-in flexible split-ring system, there are hookless shower curtains that simply fit over a curtain rod. There are also curtains that utilize ties, eliminating the fumbling that comes with hard-to-use rings. The added advantage to this type of curtains is the absence of the need to individually bind each tie.

Most hookless shower curtains repel water, eliminating the threat of mold and mildew. Some use buttons, snaps or Velcro for rod attachment purposes. All these methods do away with a lot of the hassle that comes with dealing with hooks. However, each method has its individual drawbacks.

One thing certain about hookless shower curtains is that they have taken away the pain of using hooks, one thing that anyone who has ever hung a traditional shower curtain will agree on.
