By Alice Sy

Finding Domestic Helper Jobs should be rewarding if you are looking at the right place. Work abroad has always been associated with burden but if you are working in a beautiful country, paid accordingly and have your rights respected, this shouldn't be the case. For helper jobs, you get more than what other professionals are getting in other nations, only in these places.

In Brazil, they extend equal rights to the domestic helper as considered to be a regular employee who is entitled to a minimum wage set and mandated by the law, stated in the contract and should be honored by the employer. The best part is, the law provides workers with up to 41 long days of paid holidays, that's more than a month of free yet paid labor.

Domestic helper jobs in European countries makes domestic employment equally rewarding because of the paid vacations. Greece offers a minimum wage of 740 or USD$1046.49 while France mandates a minimum wage of 1365 or approximately 1, 829 USD, that's more than the average salary of other professionals in 3rd world countries.

Switzerland is not lagging behind either, especially when it just increased the minimum wage in 2011 for domestic workers to $17.40 per hour. A contract is also now honored by law to state and ensure the benefits of domestic workers, which usually include paid holidays and insurances. Swiss vacancies are definitely one of the most sought after in recruitment agencies especially in Asia.

That doesn't mean domestic helper jobs from these countries leave Hong Kong positions easily available. In fact, these are the exactly the reasons why most Asian maids want to work in Hong Kong first, to have the stepping stone. To step in these countries indeed where the pay is higher and the benefits are greater, the job is happier. That leaves the lives of the entire family of the domestic worker back in the poor country, absolutely better.
