Strategies For A Successful Evangelican Ministry

By Laura Rogers

Ministry is the series of processes or activities that many Christians carry out. Through it, several believers can be able to profess their belief. Jesus Christ has instructed the people to perform many duties and assignments. Implementing this through a great ministry is a sure way any willing Christian can achieve this. Although spreading the gospel requires great efforts and determination, tips on how to run a successful evangelican ministry have been suggested.

A personal relationship with God is crucial and is considered to be a starting point. One great benefit is that the more the closeness to God, the more the guidance and direction assured. A good direction is essential in the journey to owning gospel outreaches, especially when duties that require efficiency and hard work are required for the successful completion of a task.

Also, the believer must be devoted to reading the word of God regularly. Effective and fervent prayers without ceasing will make the Christian acquire spiritual strength and the ability for the tasks ahead. In most cases, decline and the slow rate of growth in churches and the outreaches are as a result of weaknesses and laziness in feeding on the scriptures.

Many biblical outreaches exist in churches. The Christian should decide the area of calling to be embarked upon. Being focused to this call is essential because it enables the individual to be more passionate about the job and also help to improve the rate of concentration and dedication to duties. While some may specialize in prophetic ministries and outreaches, others may become intercessors or carry out other assignments.

For some brethren, they make it a doctrine that for one to own a ministry, one must have completed series of training and programs in the Bible schools and institutions. This will ensure that the believer or groups of believers are properly acquainted with the principles of the kingdom and the enhancement of their faith in God. Greater chances of failures await those who are not fully prepared for the challenges that may be encountered as a result of ignorance of the scriptures.

Christians should also be aware that their willingness and total declaration to carry out the orders from above will attract many negative spiritual vices and strong battles that must be fought. As a result of this, an upright lifestyle and godly living are recommended. This regular practice must be accorded with the maintenance of the biblical norms and principles on how to survive on earth.

The need for team work is also crucial for building a church. It can be achieved if there are effective interpersonal relationships among members. These skills are needed to enhance communication and foster interactions in the family, groups and the society at large. People who possess these skills are more successful in the control and management of a large audience. They are also regarded as optimists, charismatic, loving, kind and passionate. These leaders should also have personality traits and dispositions such as honesty, assertiveness, diplomacy, friendliness, patience, and endurance.

Anyone who is interested in setting up a prophetic ministry, intercession group, crusades and other outreaches should follow the passion immediately. Christians are warned against procrastination and delay in achieving their stated goals and objectives. Dangers of procrastination are so tremendous, leading to backsliding and increase in the number of unsaved people who die and go to hell. Little or no capital should not become hindrances and factors that militate against the realistic set ups. In such instances, Christians are advised to start small. The numerical capacity of the attendants and members of the congregation should not also be a barrier. It is written in the scriptures that where more than two persons gather to seek the face of God, He is there.
