They must be open to hear the perspectives of other people and make them feel that their thoughts have been considered in decision making. They also need to encourage employees to make personal progress as well as recognize success made.

Good leaders should know how to drive results. Every effort, investment and time must deliver commensurate results. However, this is more than the results you seen at the end of the year. It is about helping the people under your care to set reasonable goals and develop strategies that will deliver expected goals. Those results must then be appreciated and used to chat the way forward.

Successful organizations have a long term strategy. For their leaders, these strategies will determine their legacy. While companies witness activity on daily basis, the activities must be tied to a defined long term goal. It is upon the leaders to think and plan long term by avoiding being carried away by short term activities. Commit time and all the resources that are required to achieve these results.
