Even on a remote, peaceful sandy beach, people were on mobile phones, connecting to I-pads, had earphones and music blasting in their ears.. some people were chatting non-stop about the smallest of issues. There is a need for constant action and the lack of silence and peace in life.

The whole point is the master who teaches the art form to his pupils is very important and needs to be respected. The master will mould his pupils in learning this therapy method and he is one who will teach all the techniques and symbols.
When a person wishes to become a master and teach pupils the therapy method, he has to pass through rigorous levels of learning the art himself. He has to prove that he is the best in the methods and only then will he be able to qualify for the master level certification. He has to devote a lot of time for practice and also learning the new methods and symbols. The master degree or the level where a person can become a master is difficult and hence all lower levels should be conquered.
When your students ask particular questions in class about sickness and how to deal with clients, your awareness will be theory based only.Remember back to when you were learning to drive... the theory and the practical go hand in hand.... just having the theory does not mean you know how to drive. Also having driven an automatic car, the next one that comes along may be a manual one, a 4 wheel drive or even a large truck.... Each will bring their own learning's!
True Mastery comes when you interact with clients, and in the moment have to make decisions and give advice that makes a difference. I advise students that their real learning begins the moment they take a client who they do not know. It is easy practicing on family and friends... the true learning comes with a walk in client you do not know.You gain awareness about your own ability, your confidence, knowledge, and ability to help others... you also get real life feedback about the Reiki you have given and how it feels.
The master knows very well how the energy flow has to be done and hence using symbols in the right fashion, it can be done.Learning for the master.The master has to learn to heal himself first and then move on to other people. All personal issues should be resolved by self therapy and then others can be treated.
